4. Description Abstract

In this study, an attempt has been made to understand the morphometric characteristics of surrounding of Paras thermal power plant, using remote sensing and GIS techniques. The main objective of this study is to give priority for river sub-watershed (P-17) development by determining the morphometric parameters. This study involves drainage network delineation and morphometric parameters determination, using onscreen digitization on 1:50,000 topographic maps through GIS environs.
